Unbridled greed killed Borneo pygmy elephant

International trade in Asian elephant ivory was banned in 1975 when the Asian elephant was placed on Appendix One of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES), but poaching of elephants continues in many parts of the world.

Often times poachers killed or captured these elephants to sell their tusks locally or in the global wildlife trade. If this unbridled greed continues these elephants will be extinct soon. Are we okay with letting  our children learn about these elephants in the museum?
