Hunger management : Don’t waste food

hunger-management

According to Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Corporation (SWCorp) deputy chief executive officer Mohammad Diah Wahari,  Malaysians threw away 16,688 tonnes of food daily in 2018 and the numbers actually increased 15-20% during festive seasons, reported NST. He said the amount of food wastage in Malaysia is enough to feed 12 million people three times a day. That is equivalent to more than a third of the country’s total population.

So what if you do not finish your meal? It’s your right to be fussy and choosy. But there are always people who are so desperate to have one bite of food to survive the day. We have food going to waste and poor people who are going hungry. This is unacceptable!
