Shot 70 times, tusks removed: Unbelievable human cruelty
“An endangered pygmy elephant recently found dead in Sabah had been shot about 70 times and its tusks hacked off during a brutal attack by poachers, officials said today” (New Straits Times).
According to the international conservation group World Wildlife Fund (WWF), there are only 1,500 Borneo pygmy elephants left.
It’s shameful to see what cruelty humans could do to helpless animals. Certainly not a good example for our young generation to follow.
