Children suffer the impact of domestic violence!
KUALA LUMPUR: Children exposed to domestic violence have a higher risk of developing mental health and behavioural issues such as anxiety, depression, learning problems, and alcohol and drug abuse. Hospital Kuala Lumpur psychiatrist Dr Sapini Yakob said the children were more likely to become either perpetrators or victims of family and domestic violence in the future. – New Straits Times
Children who witnessed domestic violence may suffer a range of severe and lasting effects as they grow older.
